Should i get a career in nursing or journalism/creative writing?

Okay, so I love creative writing, but I know there isn't much for work in this field besides becoming a journalist, and the starting pay is pretty low. However, I heard of an LPN program in my area at a vocational school, and I heard Licenced Practical Nurses earn 15-20 dollars per hour. The idea of giving people shots and being in a hospital isn't that appealing to me, and I'm very hesitant as to whether I'd like this job, but it is high demanding and has good hours (I could work part time and still make enough to live off of). Do you think nursing sounds like the right path to take, or should I purse writing? My dream is to write novels and poetry and get it published, but I know I can't make a living off of this. On the other hand, journalism sounds pretty exciting.
