Can an ex-employer enforce restrictive covenants once they have ceased trading in my town?

I used to work for a letting agent who recently closed the office where I worked and sold the property stock to another agent. I resigned before the transfer went through and have since set up as an independent letting agent. Some of my old clients have recently contacted me asking me to take over managing their properties as they are not happy with the service they are receiving from the agent they were 'sold' to. This agent has contacted my ex-employer accusing me of enticing business away from them and I have received a letter from ex-employer's solicitors reminding me of the covenants in my employment contract with them. They have made specific reference to the fact that I am not allowed to solicit business from my old clients nor am I allowed to compete with them. This would be fair enough if they were still trading but their closest office is now 40 miles away and the clients I used to deal with are no longer their clients but the clients of the other agent. I have been informed by their solicitors that my ex-employer has come to a financial agreement with the new agent whereby they continue to receive income for all the properties the new agent keeps for the next 18 months. Losing properties to me (or any other agent for that matter) will apparently cause my previous employer to lose money and therefore gives them the right to restrict my trade. Are they allowed to do this and can it be enforced, given that these clients have contacted me of their own free will, they are no longer clients of my ex-employer, my ex-employer closed their office in my town, and any agreement they may have reached with the agent they sold the property stock to is nothing to do with me as I never worked for them or signed anything agreeing to be restricted by them. They are threatening to take an injunction out against me, but so far I haven't actually taken on any business or received any money from my old clients, they have merely contacted me asking how they go about taking their properties back and giving them to me. Does the cotillion waltz have to be danced to a clical song?

Okay, so I love creative writing, but I know there isn't much for work in this field besides becoming a journalist, and the starting pay is pretty low. However, I heard of an LPN program in my area at a vocational school, and I heard Licenced Practical Nurses earn 15-20 dollars per hour. The idea of giving people shots and being in a hospital isn't that appealing to me, and I'm very hesitant as to whether I'd like this job, but it is high demanding and has good hours (I could work part time and still make enough to live off of). My 3 week newborn seems to cry alot?

It seems that if she not sleeping or eating she is crying. I change her diaper, burp her, etc. and she still cries. I don't think she it's colic because her cry is not continuos. She'll be calm for a few minutes and out of the blue she'll cry for a few minutes then again is calm. Sometimes she doesn't cry at all it more like she is complaining. If it is really important to you then you should get the DNA test, you all have a right to know the truth especially your son, it wouldn't be fair for him to always ume he is his father to later find he's not. You can do DNA tests through hair which should be easy to get hold of through clothes. You should really discuss the reasons for you wanting one and make him a part of it rather than doing it behind his back, have you thought about what you'd do if he's not the father how you'd break it to him if at all? I would make him see that you are doing it for your son as well as yourself so you can put the resentment behind you and accept the truth. It's what's best for everyone. you repeat too often. Your sentences variety isn't great; break it up more with different length sentences. You often use unnecessary words; remember - each and every word should have a purpose. The speech is unrealistic; "Tell me where she is!" "I'll die before telling you" hmm, cliche anyone? He knows she not going to tell him, she knows she's not going to tell him - why does he bother asking? And wouldn't he command "Where is she?". Her repsonse is unrealistic; if she's struggling to stand, wouldn't she just say "No." or "...Never tell you." Even if you want her to be defiant, she seems weak after saying she'd rather die then begging him to stop with the memory thing. Also, sad pasts maybe, but to that extreme? Try to lighten it up; it'll make it less cliched.

Am i a bad girlfriend? I been with my boyfriend a year. His parents dont like me now because of an inident we got in so they dont want him seeing me. Hes 27 . My cat can't judge distance anymore?

My husband gets summer visitatio with his 6 year old daughter for two months. We have taken her in for developmental evaluations for the past two summers because she is not acting her age. She is very anti-social, has comprehension delays, did not talk until the age of four, could not dress herself when she was five, talks to herself a lot, lies about everything, cries about everything, etc. At both evals it was recommended that she receive speech therapy and occupational therapy. We ped the information on to mom and she did nothing. The child has also seen a specialist because her feet turn in really bad when she walks. She was fitted with special insoles to wear with tennis shoes and is supposed to wear then all the time. No flip flops allowed. Well, mom sent her out to us for the summer without the insoles and nothing but flip flops! The child told us that mom doesn't make her wear them. WTF! My husband and I are very upset about this whole situation and wish there was more we can do but since we live in a different state, we aren't sure what we can do. There is also a history of molestation two years ago that mom did nothing about! We reported it and unfortunetly it was unfounded. Therapy was recommended after the incident but mom failed to do that as well. We just want what's best for my (step) daughter. She is going into firstgrade this year and I know how mean kids can be. I don't want her to be the one all the kids make fun of. Does anyone think we have a strong enough case to take to court and ask for custody? Does anyone have any insight or advice to give us? Is this a specific type of depression?

Usually I'm pretty optimistic. I mean, not excited or anything, just a regular gl half full type of person. But when I turned 26 I fell into a deep, deep depression where I was unable to get out of bed for over a year. I literally spent entire months in bed during this time as I did not have to work. When I was 28 I mostly got out of it but just as mysteriously as it came it went away. Now adays I spend most of my time feeling fine but every once in a while a deep depression will hit me and it comes out of no where! When it happens I just stay in bed until it goes away. People around me just think that I have a sleeping problem that hits me for one week every 2 months. They don't know what's really going on. I don't know of any kind of depression that just hits you for no reason every once in a while and then just goes away for no reason again.

Hi, my name is Thomas. I go to a decent school, no bullying, but I just don't have too many close friends. I've had this problem since middle school, but then I hung out with a group for the sake of not being a loner. Towards the end of 8th grade I start hanging out with this kid who I'd gone to elementary school with, and was a LOT like me, and we started hanging out. In high school we became really close. We had 2-3 other guys in our group, but it was mainly us who hung out. Sadly enough, he moved away at the end of sophmore year, just as we started getting really close. I stayed with the group we had, but it slowly fell apart as other kids went to different groups, and I went to some random one with guys I used to know. See, while people were making friends with groups, I only really focused on the guy I got really close to, and when he moved, I don't really have anyone.There's a couple there that are okay, but I can't really see myself getting close with them. The thing is, I don't mean to be shallow, but I feel like I should be hanging out with the popular kids. The reason being is I'm generally athletic, good-looking (according to some girls), and I'm down to party. On top of this I get good grades. Now, I'm not narcissistic, I know I have TONS of flaws, I just want put to rest some theories as to my lack of friends, but the description I just gave also describes a group of these guys who are REALLY popular, down to the last word. I'm generally social, not so much with girls, but these guys only see the nerdy me that was in middle school, and don't really give me a chance to let me show them that I've changed and matured, they still see the middleschooler. I think it's a brilliantly crafted poem. I couldn't think of any way to improve it. "Frozen" sounds like a good title. Which Car would you choose?

I currently own a 2007 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 LT with a 5- Speed it’s not a bad car, but it will be running out of factory warranty soon although it hasn’t given me any major problems its not the best in quality I have owned. Because of recent gas prices and the fact I don’t want to drive a environmentally unfriendly vehicle I have narrowed my decision down to the following and need help deciding. Either a 2008 Hyundai Accent SE 3 Door hatchback with abs and side airbags 5 speed and sport package basically power everything for 14,000 locks the works etc. The other is a 2009 Toyota Corolla 5 Speed which doesn’t have any windows or locks but has ABS and airbags and AC for a couple of hundred dollars more than the Accent. Here is the tough part I owe more on the Cobalt than what it is worth, so I may have to wrap a little bit into the new purchase which would last the longest and have the most resale value and finally should I just stick it out with the Cobalt. I wouldn't necessarily say that they are masculine names because their uni. The names i like for both boy and girl are Avery, Alex, Taylor, Riley, Harley, and Drew. Those sound good on both boy and girl in my opinion. The names that make me think of girls are Bailey, Brooklyn, Mackenzie, and Cadence. Scheduled c-section experiences?

I had 2 c-sections. It did not hurt having the c-section. I believe that I was in recovery about 2 or 3 hours. The baby was in the nursery, which was ok by me, cause I was sleeping. It did not affect my ability to feed, For my first c-section, I was in the hospital for 3 days, my second c-section, I was there for 2 days. The first time you cough, hold a pillow to your stomach. It took about 2 weeks to be able to do everything I wanted to do after the c-section. Good luck

Sometimes I hate my parents for having so many kids?

Growing up was so hard! It started out fun. Always having someone to play with. Having 2 older sisters, a twin and a litte brother. It was fun, 5 kids happy family. Then when I was 8 my mom got pregnant again and had my twin little brothers. Thats when things started getting hard. Shorty after they were born she got pregnant AGAIN! I had a baby sister and I loved that, but now there was 8 kids in the family and money started getting short. We didnt get as many nice things. Hand me down clothes and such. When my baby sister was a few months old my mom, yet again got pregnant. My littlest brother was born. We had 9 kids, just what my parents wanted. It got ever harder though because right after that my oldest sister got pregnant and had her son. Me and 2 of my sisters and brother lived with my aunt to make things easier for mom and dad. Now only the younger ones live at home. Last month my mom had her last baby. I have 9 siblings. I feel blessed to have such a large family............

What to do for my simple, but fun Spring sweet 16 party?
