I am sick of stupid people ruining the shooting sports?

in the news yesterday in tennessee a child of 12 was shot by her brother of 14 out shooting without supervision the story is that the brother put rhe 22lr on a post and it fell and went off and shot her in the sholder now the problem i have is that i know for a fact that guns are tested to take falls and yes i have droped my own gun on a very few times that i have it was from a tree stand and i have droped my glock on concrete loaded and nothing happend but a scrached gun now with my own experance at hand i have to say the the kids story is b.s and the mother saying well guns just go off pisses me off that they would let a woman with no knowalage of gun say that on tv
