Faith is suppose to be (the substance of things hoped for) or (the guarantee of things expected correct?

My friend there are no guarantees and the bible doesn't say that.When you pray to GOD there is only faith and hope, not a guarantee,that he will answer your prayer.If the guarantee was there,people would abuse the prayers and pray for worldly things for themselves,not to help others.You can desire anything and GOD will honor that but prayer is quite different from desires.
